Other Projects & Resources
The Clothesline Project: “The Clothesline Project (CLP) is a program started on Cape Cod, MA, in 1990 to address the issue of violence against women. It is a vehicle for women affected by violence to express their emotions by decorating a shirt. They then hang the shirt on a clothesline to be viewed by others as testimony to the problem of violence against women.”
generationFIVE: “Generation FIVE’s mission is to end the sexual abuse of children within five generations. Through survivor leadership, community organizing, and public action, generation FIVE works to interrupt and mend the intergenerational impact of child sexual abuse on individuals, families, and communities. We integrate child sexual abuse prevention into social movements and community organizing targeting family violence, economic oppression, and gender, age-based and cultural discrimination, rather than continuing to perpetuate the isolation of the issue.”
INCITE!: “INCITE! Women of Color Against Violence is a national activist organization of radical feminists of color advancing a movement to end violence against women of color and our communities through direct action, critical dialogue and grassroots organizing.”
In the Light: “In the Light is a photography project about survivors of child sex abuse. Child sex abuse is a continued problem in our society. This project will raise awareness about child sex abuse and its effects and promote healing by using strong images and powerful words of survivors.”
A Long Walk Home: “A Long Walk Home, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that uses art therapy and the visual and performance arts to document, to educate and to bring about social change. We use the testimonies, poetry, music, photographs, and videos of and by women and children to provide safe and entertaining forums through which the public learns about healing from trauma.”
The Names Project (The AIDS Memorial Quilt): “To provide a creative means for remembrance and healing, to effectively illustrate the enormity of the AIDS pandemic, to increase awareness of HIV and AIDS throughout the general public, to assist others in providing education on the prevention of HIV infection, and to raise funds for community-based AIDS Service Organizations (ASO’s).”
Sent(a)Mental Project – A Memorial to GLBTIQ Suicides: “The Sent(a)Mental Project hopes to bring visibility to mental health issues and much needed attention to the thousands of people lost within our community over the years due to a lack of dialogue around these issues.”

Since 1997, we have provided presentations, workshops, consultation, materials, information and referrals to many anti-violence organizations and universities across the country, as well as gathered information about issues faced by intersex and trans survivors of domestic and sexual violence.”
The Voices and Faces Project: “The Voices and Faces Project is a national documentary project created to give voice and face to survivors of sexual violence, offering a sense of solidarity to those who have lived through rape and abuse while raising awareness of how this human rights and public health issue impacts victims, families and communities.”
