This is our interpretation of a symbol of guilt and shame, which a puritan society forces on a group of people who differ from their perception of normal…This irrational belief of sin, can inflict a life of self-loathing and shame, that some may never recover. We see this as a badge of honor, not for its negative connotations, but as a sign of unity and perseverance to find acceptance in society, and most importantly, with in ourselves.
The bright colors of the rainbow signify our pride and unity
The glass spikes indicate that our hearts and psyches are fragile, yet strong
The prisms reflect the many faceted projections of an individual’s self worth
The circles imply our continued pursuit of acceptance and tolerance
The reflective metal is a mirror to the absolute truth of one’s identity
